These are the terms for using straightforward.design. They’re short. By using the site, you’re agreeing to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. Who we are

This site is run by Straight Forward Design Limited (Straight Forward, we, us, our), a brand strategy and design agency. We’re registered in England and Wales under company number 06175417, and our VAT number is 898 9636 26.

2. Using our site

We share our work, our thinking and news about our clients and partners here. You’re welcome to browse, read and share links to anything on it.

We try to keep everything accurate and up to date, but we can’t guarantee it. Nothing on the site is advice, so please don’t rely on it as advice. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.

3. What’s not allowed

You mustn’t:

  • use the site for anything unlawful or fraudulent
  • upload or send anything harmful, such as viruses or malware
  • try to access, damage or disrupt the site, its servers or the systems it runs on
  • copy, reproduce, sell or commercially use any part of the site without our written permission
  • copy our work in bulk, build datasets from it, or use it to imitate our work or our clients’ brands (see section 5)

If you break these terms, we may stop you using the site, warn you, take legal action, or report you to the police or other authorities where we think it’s needed or the law requires it.

4. Our work and intellectual property

The site, and everything on it, is protected by intellectual property law. That includes the words, design, images, video, case studies and code.

  • Our content belongs to us or the people who license it to us. “Straight Forward” and “Connect in FULL®” are our trade marks.
  • Our clients’ brands belong to our clients. Their names, logos, packaging and trade marks appear in our case studies with their permission, to show the work we’ve done together. Seeing them here gives you no right to use them.

You can view, print or download pages for your own reference, and share links to them. Anything beyond that needs our written permission. Ask us at [email protected]. We’re flattered by the interest and usually happy to talk.

5. Scraping and AI

AI search and answer engines are welcome to read our site and cite us.

What you can’t do without our written permission is copy our work in bulk, build datasets from it, or use it to imitate our work or our clients’ brands.

6. Linking to our site

You’re welcome to link to any page on our site, as long as you do it fairly and legally. Please don’t suggest we’re connected to you or endorse you when we’re not, and don’t frame our site inside another one. We can ask you to remove a link at any time.

7. Other sites we link to

We link to other sites, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, X and Google Maps, and sometimes to clients, partners and businesses we think you’ll find interesting. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for them or how they use your data.

8. Our responsibility to you

We never exclude or limit our liability where the law doesn’t allow it. That includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and fraud.

Beyond that, and as far as the law allows:

  • the site is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available, error-free or free of viruses
  • we’re not responsible for loss caused by using the site, being unable to use it, or relying on anything on it
  • if you use the site for business, we’re not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data

Please use your own virus protection when you browse.

9. Your privacy

Our Data Use Policy explains how we collect and use personal data, including cookies, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

10. Changes to these terms

We update these terms when the site, our business or the law changes. The version on this page is the one that applies when you use the site.

11. The law that applies

These terms, and any dispute about them or your use of the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute. If you’re a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
