Red Cross

How they help

The British Red Cross provides emergency response services, including disaster relief, first aid, and support for people affected by conflicts, disasters, or personal crises. It also helps refugees and asylum seekers, offers community support such as mobility aids and loneliness services, and delivers international aid programmes—helping people rebuild their lives and strengthen resilience.

Crohn’s Colitis UK

Their mission

Crohn’s and Colitis UK is a charitable organisation set up to support and advise those who have been diagnosed with either of the conditions. They want to see improved lives today, and a world free from Crohn’s and Colitis tomorrow.

How they help

The organisation offers a treasure trove of information and support about Crohn’s and Colitis as well as driving research and knowledge through donations, membership, sponsorship and voluntary help. They break taboos, they drive pioneering research, they bring people together, they campaign to improve lives and they are leading the fight against Crohn’s and Colitis.

Children with Cancer

Their mission

Children with Cancer is a UK charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer with a vision to create a world where every child survives cancer. Their mission is to improve survival rates across all types of childhood cancer by finding kinder, safer treatments and ultimately a cure. They also support children and their families to live better during and after treatment.

How they help

The charity funds research to better understand the causes of childhood cancer and develop improved treatments. It supports families by helping provide free accommodation near hospitals, financial grants, and special days out for respite, while also raising awareness through sharing real experiences to encourage earlier diagnosis and increased funding for research.

Save the Children Ukraine Appeal

Save the Children works to ensure every child has a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm. Its mission is to improve the lives of children around the world and defend their rights, especially those most vulnerable to poverty, conflict, and crisis.

How they help

Their team in Ukraine are responding where they can – and will continue for as long as it is safe and possible to do so.

They are distributing winter kits of clothing and blankets. Providing cash and vouchers assistance to families to meet basic needs like food, rent and medicines. Offering vital mental health support to children and their families. Providing access to safe, inclusive, quality education. Providing basic non-food items and outreach services for refugees arriving to Romania.

Age UK

Demelza

Their mission

Demelza supports children with serious or terminal conditions to live as fully as possible, helping families create meaningful moments together. Since 1998, they’ve continued this care through the support of donors.

How they help

They provide specialist hospice and home care across South East London, Kent, and East Sussex. Through tailored support from nurses, therapists, and volunteers, they help families cope and spend quality time together.

Alzheimer’s Research UK

Bees for Development is a global charity which makes life better with bees. They promote sustainable beekeeping to combat poverty, build resilient livelihoods and benefit biodiversity.

They share beekeeping skills with people in the poorest communities of the world, giving a reliable, sustainable income for life. They use local skills, local materials and local bees.

How they help

Many of the world’s poorest people live near rich natural resources, including precious tropical forests and grasslands. Beekeeping offers a wonderful opportunity for these people to create rural livelihoods, protecting and maintaining these important habitats.

They identify and articulate the crucial role of beekeepers working and living in tropical forests. They advocate only for the use of local bee species or races, and always with local beekeeping skills and materials.
