Crohn’s Colitis UK

Their mission

Crohn’s and Colitis UK is a charitable organisation set up to support and advise those who have been diagnosed with either of the conditions. They want to see improved lives today, and a world free from Crohn’s and Colitis tomorrow.

How they help

The organisation offers a treasure trove of information and support about Crohn’s and Colitis as well as driving research and knowledge through donations, membership, sponsorship and voluntary help. They break taboos, they drive pioneering research, they bring people together, they campaign to improve lives and they are leading the fight against Crohn’s and Colitis.

Alzheimer’s Research UK

Their mission

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, dedicated to causes, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and cure.

Backed by passionate scientists and supporters, they’re challenging the way people think about dementia, uniting the big thinkers in the field and funding the innovative science that will deliver a cure.

Their mission is to bring about the first life changing dementia treatment by 2025.

How they help

They’re working across four key areas of action:

-Diagnose people earlier and more accurately.
-Reduce risk, backed by the latest evidence.

Demelza

“Demelza Hospice Care for Children provides care and support for seriously ill children, young people and their families.”

Their mission

Demelza supports children with serious or terminal conditions to live as fully as possible, helping families create meaningful moments together. Since 1998, they’ve continued this care through the support of donors.

How they help

They provide specialist hospice and home care across South East London, Kent, and East Sussex. Through tailored support from nurses, therapists, and volunteers, they help families cope and spend quality time together.

Disasters and Emergency Committee

“The DEC save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.”

Their mission

The DEC brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. In these times of crisis, people in life-and- death situations need help. DEC’s mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response.

How they help

Devastating earthquakes have killed tens of thousands of people in Turkey and Syria. Hundreds of buildings have been destroyed. Survivors are facing freezing conditions and need urgent aid.

=Donations are allowing DEC charities to scale up their humanitarian response, delivering lifesaving aid and supporting survivors both now and in the weeks and months ahead.

Their mission

UNICEF works with families, local communities, organisations and governments in more than 190 countries to help every child realise their full potential. In everything they do, the most vulnerable children and those in greatest need have priority.

How they help

UNICEF protects children’s rights worldwide, working in the toughest places to reach the most vulnerable. They save lives through vaccines, clean water and nutrition, protect children from harm, and support education to help every child reach their potential.

Their mission

How they help

Save the Children delivers emergency aid and long-term development programmes across areas such as healthcare, nutrition, education, and child protection. It responds to humanitarian crises, supports families and communities, and works with governments and partners to create lasting change—helping children survive, stay safe, and build a better future.

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society

Their mission

Their vision is to support all with RA to live life to the full with an underpinning mission of supporting everyone living with the impact of RA at the start and every step of their journey.

How they help

The National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society provide information and support services for those affected by rheumatoid arthritis (RA), their families, friends, carers and health professionals. They inform by being their first choice for reliable information, and empower all to have a voice and take control of their RA.

Lady McAdden

“Supporting you with the early detection of breast cancer, through advice, education and breast awareness.”

Their mission

Lady McAdden’s mission is to support the early detection of breast cancer in the UK. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, with 1 in 7 developing breast cancer in their lifetime. Almost 50% of breast cancer is first detected by women themselves and yet 49% of women say they don’t check themselves on a regular basis.

How they help

Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust is the only breast cancer charity in the UK currently offering one-to-one Breast Awareness appointments with specialist nurses, both remotely and in person. It provides self-referred consultations for women aged 18 and over, delivering confidential advice through face-to-face, secure video, or telephone appointments—without the need for a GP referral.

Create delivers inspiring arts programmes to the UK’s most marginalised communities, focusing on areas with limited access to the arts. They prioritise underserved groups using data on poverty, disability, and educational disadvantage to reach those most in need.

Ecologi enables people and organisations to support verified projects such as tree planting and carbon reduction initiatives around the world. It partners with trusted environmental organisations, provides transparent tracking of impact, and helps businesses integrate sustainability into their operations—making climate action accessible, measurable, and scalable.
